New Images – Prince’s Trust
New Images Winsford is proud to be a venue for the Prince’s Trust TEAM Programme , run by Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service
The Prince’s Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales to help vulnerable young people get their lives on track.
Nationally the scheme supports young people who maybe unemployed, those struggling with training and gaining employment. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are either in or leaving care and maybe facing issues such as homelessness, mental health problems, family issues or have other problems.
Nationally each year they work with about 60,000 young people; with three in four moving on to employment, education, volunteering or training.
Here at New Images we provided rooms, cafe and recreational facilities to the Prince’s Trust as part of a 12 week programme, allowing young people to have fun and make new friends whilst helping the community and environment. This programme is run and coordinated by the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service. Generally groups consist of around 15 people of similar ages, both unemployed and employed. Please note three programmes per year are currently run from New Images, here in Winsford.
This programme is specifically tailored for young people aged 16 to 25 and briefly consists of the following modules.
- Weeks 1- 2 :- Team building
- Weeks 3-6 :- Community project
- Week 7 :- Writing CV’s, interview skills and looking for employment & education
- Week 8-9 :- Individual work experience
- Week 10-11 :- Event planning & hosting activities within your local community
