New Images Receives Grant Funding

We are pleased to announce New Images has received a grant from Chester Community Energy Ltd. Chester Community Energy Ltd have been able to provide a select list of local charities and community groups with funds as part of additional revenues created by their solar energy regeneration scheme. Primarily this was generated from the solar panels installed at Northgate Arena which was extremely successful following last years hot summer.

This grant will be used to reduce energy use in our building by the installation of energy efficient replacement LED lighting.

The process of being awarded the grant consisted of the vetting of seventeen initial applications these were whittled down to four. This was undertaken by a select panel of Chester Community Energy Ltd shareholders, together with assistance from Chester Voluntary Action.

This will be an annual event and Graham Booth, a director of CCEL, said “It is our intention to commission more power generation so that grant funding to local good causes can be increased. There are so many local voluntary groups providing excellent support to their communities and we would love to offer more help”

CCEL is a community benefit society that is funded by its members who purchase shares in the society. All surplus money from the projects is used to invest in the business and provide grants to local community groups. The society is administered solely by volunteers.
